Free electric bike hire for islanders!

The Shapinsay Development Trust is offering free hire of its electric bikes to Shapinsay residents during the Climate Festival & Wellbeing month.

The offer starts this Monday, September 9, and carries on through until October 7.

Islanders can take the bikes for up to 2 hours at a time as long as the bikes aren’t already booked up.

All you have to do is check in at The Boathouse and ask if any bikes are free – and away you go, you can take them there and then!

If you’d like to use them at the weekends you will have to call into The Boathouse on the Friday before.
